5 Tips To Increase Your Virtual RSVPS

Virtual Escape Room Games are so 2020.

When it comes to planning a virtual event, one of the things employees love the most? When you ask for their input. Teams and clients are on virtual meetings every day, sometimes all day, the last thing they want to do is attend an event at 6pm that simply put, is basic. Let’s be real, between their current Netflix binge and another scavenger hunt, which one will they choose?

We’ve hosted enough remote companies to have a few recommendations to consider when planning your next virtual event:

  1. It’s about what they like - do some digging and learn your attendees mutual interests. What do they all have in common? Their love of coffee, music, food, wine tastings, comedy, travel?

  2. Select (3) virtual experiences and send a poll to your attendees. Allowing your guests the option to choose what interests them most, encourages inclusion before the event and increases the chance of them attending.

  3. Once your guests have picked a winner, brainstorm a way to make it personal. ie, send video clips from the event talent to get attendees excited, ship branded swag bags, create an event slack channel with a countdown.

  4. Icebreakers- a quiet zoom room can be awkward. Plan on having a fun playlist going as guests start signing on or have a call to action in the chat box ( a waive emoji or prompt banter with questions like which celeb they want to meet etc.)

  5. Feedback- what did they think? checking in with your attendees post event and compiling their feedback is key to measuring the success of the event and will provide you with things to keep in mind for the next one.
